This Weekend

This weekend we had the best intentions of having amazing adventures up in the mountains. We went up to the lake on Friday so we could play fetch with Jackson and let him swim in the water. Naturally though, someone had eaten oreos..or only the creame part..so there were oreo cookie parts all over the park. Jackson found all of them. Thankfully, he knows "leave it" pretty well and responded to that, but the smell must have been far too overwhelming so swimming in the water wasn't attractive to him and running after the bumper ended in smelling new half-eaten oreos. So we walked around the park and enjoyed the cooler weather (still a lack of leaves changing colors).

Once we made it back to the valley, we completed house projects! There are now twinkle lights in the backyard, more pictures in the house, and curtains in the master bedroom! The blackout curtains have been extremely effective and can make afternoon naps seem as though they are nighttime sleeps (this isn't always helpful..).

Also, PSA: I heard once "water your succulents when it rains in Arizona". Now, I'm sure there are places in Arizona where it rains much more than in the desert, but as our backyard is purely massive succulents I wanted to let you all know, today it rained in Arizona! Go water your succulents!

Anyways, of course, we will try again for the great adventures. It is slowly starting to cool off here, thanks for sending the cool weather west, we'll send some sunshine east!
