From here on out, Thursdays belong to Jackson. Ben and I are fully aware that Jackson is quite the heartthrob, so here is the update of Jackson's past week.
As I said before, Jackson was a true champ during the road trip. He took lots of naps, chewed a few rawhide bones, played at every stop, and didn't complain (until the battery died and there was no AC).
(chilling in the car, he got to sit shotgun for a hot minute)
Once in Tucson, Jackson discovered his new backyard. He learned that there is a tree that has really big seeds that are fun to play with, that every rock in the backyard needs to be sniffed, and that half of the plants in the backyard hurt when you poke them with your paw.
(guarding the domain)
Jackson also gets to take walks/runs every day which is full of new smells, more prickly plants, and neighborhood dogs that bark from behind their walls. He even got to meet a Chinese Crested pup named Henry who was not in the least bit interested in playing, but Jackson considers them friends nonetheless! There is a super awesome park down the street that Jackson enjoys going to where he can chase all the desert lizards and quail.
Jackson LOVES jumping on all of the boxes that are getting piled up in the house and even enjoys stepping on the bubblewrap. These games can be exhausting though and require nap time regularly.
All in all, Jackson seems to be adjusting to his new life in Tucson quite well. He has figured out when dad comes back each day and (not so)patiently waits by the door so that he can properly cover Ben in kisses. This week he also celebrated 5 months of being alive! YAY! To celebrate that (and the stellar behavior on the ride out), Jackson got a fancy bone that he's been working on for most of the day.
He sends his love and puppy kisses to each of you!
