Hey y’all!
The Pattisons are back from the relaxing honeymoon and have
embarked on the roadtrip portion!
First of all, we are blown away by the outpouring of love
surrounding our wedding. Last weekend
goes down in the books as the best weekend ever. Through all of the stress of wedding planning
I wondered if it would all be worth it.
The answer: absolutely. Having
all those who we love and cherish so much in one room is unmatchable. It all went by so quickly, but we love each
of you and thank you for being so good to us.
We are currently deep in the heart of Texas (day one was a
doozy) and roadtripping as a family has been great.
Lessons from day one and about 780 miles of driving:
1. Although Jackson may be quite upset with us
regarding the amount of time spent in the car, he is the best backseat driver
out there.
2. Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi use the same
names for cities and roads. Gotta work
on the whole creativity thing.
3. Realizing you left the car keys for the other car
back in Georgia can be a bit stressful, but Ben continues to be the most
patient human being ever. (Whoops..thanks Memama and Grandaddy for saving the day!)
5. Caffeine and sunflower seeds make crossing the
country possible.
Day two is going to be a shorter day, a mere 650 miles or
so.
Over and out!
States conquered: GA, AL, MS, LA, (some of) TX
